Blog forgive me for i have not posted in awhile it has been a long time since my last post.

I bought a new car yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Well not new, but new for me) Its Bloo. I am very chuffed, of course now i really need to sell the bike, cause i owe money on the car. It never stops.
I may or may not post a picture of the new wheels. I have been promising to put up photies of my flat and we call all see how that is going....

In other news the car is very fortuitous and welcome as i got clipped again on my bike the other day. Manage to keep it off the tarmac this time round. Still have a blue foot sadly. I think there are prolly some fracture bones in there, but there is not much that they can do about it other than take xrays and charge me a fortune. Anyway i was ice-skating on Sunday and there seems to be no side effects. 'Cept the blister in the other foot. Skating was great fun though and not nearly as pricey as i thought it was going to be and must be repeated. Although perhaps we should not go to the club session.

We are escaping Cape Town in 2 weekends time. Heading off to Arniston for bit of R&R. Which is guaranteed as there is pretty much nothing else to do there other than relax. Yay i get to take my new car =)))))))

Other than that nothing much else has been happening. Oh yes I am a trustee on my body corporate now. Not sure how that happened, last time i go to a AGM.

I am selling my bike to buy a car, i want to buy a car, i have always wanted a Civic 3-door and the rotting sods have put one in full view to taunt me everyday. The loons want 80000 rand for it which is so far beyond my budget that it could be said to be in another galaxy almost. The fates give you a cool flat with one and then dangle, DANGLE i tell you, a Civic with the other. Bastards.

Made level 40 finally and have not played since....mmmmhhhhhh i wonder.

I also watched Lord of War and Syriana over the weekend. Lord of war was kinda cool and i am not sure i fully understood Syriana so i can't really comment.

Anyway i feel feint and need food.

I might just be growing up (NEVER). I am now the proud owner of a washing machine. I console myself with the fact that i have no idea how to use it. The stove is marginally less intimidating and i managed to boil some potatoes last night and actually eat them (they tasted quite good.)

There is more to this growing up phenomena though. I am selling my bike =( because i am starting to feel that it is less than practical. I also don't want to die, what with the traffic getting worse by the day. People thinking that the "It is illegal to operate you cellphone while driving law" is optional and just generally not paying any attention to anyone else on the roads. Maybe they don't realize that a fender bender for me is broken bones (yes i have said that before). Well anyway the bike is being serviced and will soon be on the market.

To add to my shame i wore combat boots the other day, not for street cred or to make a statement or any of those highly acceptable reasons, but because i was on site and those are the only shoes that handle 1 foot of soft clay very well.

Oh well guess it just has to be.....

Just looked at the date of my last post. Looooooooooooong time ago. Work has just been crazy and i am talking about fish eye kinda crazy. Well with deadlines being pulled forward and the contractor wanting well everything on day one, makes for fun times.

Some helpful information: My Uncle visited my mom the other day in Pringle bay and came through the dreaded Richmond area to get there. Now Richmond has always been know for its traffic cops with frikking laser traps and other goodies to catch you speeding. Everyone either knows someone whose been caught, has been caught or has been in the car when its nailed. We they have upped the game and now have roadblocks too (this is a choice between two task blah blah....) Sadly for my uncle his drivers license had expired when he was caught in said roadblock. Thus incurring a fine which was broken down as follows: Driving with an expired license R500 of course because the license was expired this mean that he is infact was driving WITHOUT a license too...... a further R900 please. Grand total R900. So the moral of the story is if your license is expired don't carry it and hopefully you will just get the driving without fine.

House warming: I had a house warming (oh sometime) to which people came and had fun and drank (weeeeeeelllll i did a lot of drinking anyway) Fun was had, things was discussed. We even looked up the workings of Turbo fans vs Turbo props. Well i think we did anyway...

Polish Xmas in (oh give trying to keep track of when it was supposed to be): Was great and very very very filling. i do think the Jo's imitation of a priagi sneaking down the corridor at the dead of night has put me of them for awhile..... at least till next time. The soup was great. Yay gifts were given and received with much amusement and eating of chocolate =))

Stv was kind enough to refer to my new pad as "THE AWESOME" which i had to immediately agree with of course. I may be considered biased in this area though.

Anyway as a result of Telkom sucking and taking 6 years to switch anything over i have only know had my ADSL connection reconnected or so they say. I still have to go home and make sure that it is in fact switched on and working.

BUT this means that i go live again tonight and will dragged Kishi out of being teenager. Perhaps not tonight as the powers that be in my office pulled a deadline (which i was not going to make anyway) forward 3 weeks. Work may interfere.

The only thing that is now missing in the place is a fridge full of beer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found that on a urban slang dictionary. It is used to describe a very very new noob or as a extra special insult to an experienced player. It is cute so i am using it now to describe my shiny new widescreen that i got at the office. SHINY NOOBLET..........erm is it just me or did that sound rude.

I didn't know my desk was actually this big. Of course when new things arrive one tends to do a spring clean so that may have something to do with it. Because of the hugeness of the monitor and the vast tracks of desk i now have, my keyboard appears to small. It is a compact one, but it looks and feels even more compacty than usual.

My bond was also registered today so it is all official and final now. My own place or at least the banks place which i pay lots of money to live in. Ha but still awesomely coooooool. The asking permission for a party is a bit much though, but some people never learn and play Bob Sinclaire at full blast and full bass till 2 in the morning. How ever much i like Bob, i like my sleep too and most times you could detonate a nuke next to me and it won't bother me. Bass on the other hand tends to go straight through walls and i like my bed to remain stationary.......for sleeping =) and to those of you who have seen my bed it will take a small heard of rhinos to make it move.

Alas all that is lacking now is the DSL connection and much WoW catching up. All my cohorts are streaking ahead of me. Although sometimes i think some of them have saline IVs to keep them going. Soon, helkom has promised me that it will be in over the next 7 working days. So knowing them it will go in on the 7th (as long as there is no resting) which of course thanks to Dr Aloysius means 9 days actually. that is about 9 levels give or take. *sigh* my levelling curve has been seriously flattened over the last few months with all these moves. This has given me a chance to finish "Kafka on the Shore", which may or may not be a good thing. Therapy may be required to get through that one.

DRAGONFIRE this weekend woot, hopefully work will not interrupt things. Perhaps instead of just sitting around this time i may actually roleplay =)) Should any of that require more than a few words in my handwriting i will abstain though. I had to fill out some issue slips this morning. SPIDER + ICESKATES + INK = WTF? since when is floor spelt with 2 r's or maybe it is n. Flon that could be it.

After watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 this weekend i am of the opinion that the movie industry is using sequels to simply setup for the 3rd and final movie. Maybe make the money for the 3rd on too. POC1 was great and on that basis i went to go watch POC2. Disjointed is all i can think of. Miss Swann's performance was weak and i got the feeling that she couldn't stop laughing throughout her scenes with Sparrow. Who would though. As for Capt. Jack Sparrow, he seemed a little too crazy this time round and lost some of his power. It was like he was playing some minor role as a loon.* His line "Hello beasty" was a classic though and must be used in a RPG sometime. I will not even mention Legolas (oh sorry) Turner. Bill Nighey was awesome as Davey Jones though.**

I miss WoW.....I luuuuuuuuuurve my new home however

and POPWW is a substitute if not an adequate one.

Well it has been awhile and i am sitting in the office bored out of my skull. The weather is crap too so no walking around long street.

Katalith, Ork_khrist, HoleyCrusader, Dystopia, Synkronos and myself jetted of to icon last weekend. Somehow the apathy bug must have been on the kite with us cause most of us really did not feel like doing much while there. Although HoleyCrusader, Synkronos did have a go at the magice tournies. God there really are some dicks that play magic (not us of course). Cheeseman was his surname i believe *snigger* i don't care to remember the other knob's name. Synk and i did okay in the trio game, but do to time constraints we pulled out. HC and i did meh on the two headed giant though. We kept making silly mistakes and getting our critters burnonated. Synk did come away with some nice coldsnap cards =)

Katalith made out like a bandit with figurines though and some styling new T-shirt goodness. Although on the return a cloud appeared over the lootie goodness with some nork taking her bag by mistake. Thank the powers that he/she/it realised and it has been returned. YAY !!!!!!!!! A special must be made for Ork_khrist on winning second place in the Cthulu GM sections. You rock bean =)))))))))))

In other exciting events my fav. won survivor in the grand finale on Tuesday night and regardless of what anyone says i think she played pretty well. HC of course was rooting for Steph (the defiler of rituals and taunting of Gods). Thanks to the hospitality of the Human Jean project for feeding me and a letting come over =)

In even more exciting and fantastic events. I move to my new place next week friday. Just in time to because i think prolonged use of my shower at the moment is starting to have some effects that are not nearly as cool as the comic books make out. Water and electricity do, i repeat, do not turn you in the Flash. They give you neck ache.

TONIGHT I RETURN TO AZEROTH. Time to play a real character for awhile.

I have been maintaining for awhile now that the new Bravia advert by Sony is pure digital. Turns out that it isn't. They actually fired 250,000 coloured bouncy balls down a San Fransico street. 5..4..3..2..1 Fire. What a job, imagine that you get to setup and fire 250k of bouncy balls down a street............and get paid for it.

In more disturbing news stay away from Cadburys for awhile perhaps. Millions of chocolate bars might be infected with salmonella. This is in the UK though, so we should be safe. I may go beacon for now though.

In other engineering / evil dictator news, China has completed its new railway line into Tibet. World opinion is that this will further undermine the Tibetan culture. Judging from China's past history in the region...............mmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhh.

I have been very remiss in blogging lately. Which is really bad as i have access to BB at both work and home. I blame WoW, it sucks every spare moment i have. I swear that one of these days soon people are going to see screen shots burned into my retina. It looks like i can post pictures again so i will try get some shots of my characters up. HELP I NEED A LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The title of this post refers to the SA tradition of riding right on someone's bumper to get them to move out of the way. These usually means that someone is going to fast. This is not a lament of the poor driving in SA (and boy is it shocking), hell i have tail gated people before. Specially taxis... But i do have an issue with guys doing it too me on my bike. It is mostly on DeWaal drive, but does happen all over too. In wet weather too. Maybe they don't realize that a fender bender for me generally means broken bones. I will stop ranting now.

SURVIVOR TONIGHT: I concur with Bast, all the right people are going home. Jamie's paranoia sent him home though. If he had just shut up he would have been fine. Now if they will only get rid of Judd. Although he is a good one to have next to you at final tribal council.

Fire in the hole.........or hold

for some reason that is well beyond my understanding i have that phrase stuck in my head. I thought i should probably find out where it comes from and which ones is correct. Well according to the interweb they seem to both have well grounded backing.

"Fire in the hole" could be a term used often in mining. The charges are placed in holes drilled along the tunnel walls. The fuse wire tended to extend well out of this hole so that the guy lighting it could be far away when he lit it. Hence the term "Fire in the hole" means imminent explosion. The only problem i have with this one is that if someone calls that and you are not in a well cast shield spell you're screwed.

"Fire in the hold" was of course from old warships. If there were to be a fire on the canon decks badness would ensue. Gunpowder + fire - canon = BOOOOOOOM and not in a good way.

All of the above does not get it out of my head though. It is like having a tune stuck in your head only its shorter.

The broken car mentioned in a previous post has been mended and i am off the hook *sigh of relief* I just happened to be the one driving it when the well FUBAR clutch plate decided to call it quits. The guy at the service shop said it was in more than a few pieces. Not something that just happens. Saves me 3K *phew*

an ever tricksy day. This one decided to throw a fubar clutch at me, fortunately not on my bike. Unfortunately in my bosses car. On hospital bend no less, traversing that hill without a clutch is no fun i assure you. I must accelerate my plans to move closer to work.
Had a fun weekend, went to watch the SA 15 beat (only just) the world 15 at Firemans arms. The bill was a shocker when it arrived. 9 pints, how the hell did we get through that many *sigh* it is a slippery slope. Then off to Tiger Tiger, which was much fun. Although i really believe that their dress code is anal and stupid. Playboy bunnies even made an appearance =)
It has been awhile since i have a had 2am Steers burgers.

Sunday of course was spent bemoaning age and resolutions of never again. Also spent watching Prison Break. All i say is a plan is simply a list of things that never happen.

Well off to face the music of burnt out/snap clutch make car go thingies.

Oooooooo..... things got spiced up a bit with a new individual immunity back to back with the reward challenge. Sadly game ranger man did not give Ivy league (Brian i think) his immunity and he was sent home. =(

As for the reward challenge... NASTY ... with people getting squashed and some serious male aggression being thrown around. 'J' asked me if i had seen anything sillier and immature before. I had to answer 'Yes' when it was me doing it. =)

Bobby Jon did get to have hotdogs and beer though.

Queensberry Rules

I ask the question "What are the Queensberry rules" the other day at W's birthday bash. I did get an answer but decided to have look anyway. Herewith follow the Queensberry Rules, so named after the 9th Marquess of Queensberry endorsed them. These rules superseded the London Prize ring rules.

1. To be a fair stand-up boxing match in a 24-foot ring, or as near that size as practicable.
2. No wrestling or hugging allowed.
3. The rounds to be of three minutes' duration, and one minute's time between rounds.
4. If either man falls through weakness or otherwise, he must get up unassisted, 10 seconds to be allowed him to do so, the other man meanwhile to return to his corner, and when the fallen man is on his legs the round is to be resumed and continued until the three minutes have expired. If one man fails to come to the scratch in the 10 seconds allowed, it shall be in the power of the referee to give his award in favour of the other man.
5. A man hanging on the ropes in a helpless state, with his toes off the ground, shall be considered down.
6. No seconds or any other person to be allowed in the ring during the rounds.
7. Should the contest be stopped by any unavoidable interference, the referee to name the time and place as soon as possible for finishing the contest; so that the match must be won and lost, unless the backers of both men agree to draw the stakes.
8. The gloves to be fair-sized boxing gloves of the best quality and new.
9. Should a glove burst, or come off, it must be replaced to the referee's satisfaction.
10. A man on one knee is considered down and if struck is entitled to the stakes (This means he wins) .
11. No shoes or boots with springs allowed.
12. The contest in all other respects to be governed by revised rules of the London Prize Ring.

Apparently the whole point of these rules was to make the sport of boxing more civilised. Giving it a more win fair than win at all cost creed.

The mapping of the human gnome has been completed. Having completed most of it 3-4 years ago and leaving the best for last. Chromosome is finished. Also Telkom finally installed my DSL line on Thursday. This is only after i got my grubby little mits on Cape Town's technical departments telephone number. The call centre gave it to me after i yelled at them for the 4th time. Apparently they are not supposed to give this number out. =)

THE POWER !!!!!!!!!

Now i just need to work out how to get the wireless to work and everything will be cool. Although for playing WoW i think i may just stick to cable for now. Yay i can play WoW again. I have deposited Aurelie in the wetlands for some crocolisk and raptor action. All the other areas are just too high for her at the moment. Kitsune has become a permanent feature next to the mail box in Darnassus for the time being. Once the two are closer in lvls i will start him up again.

I have been catching a couple of episodes of 4400 lately on MNET. My TV aerial is routed through the main houses VCR, so i can watch whatever they are watching. Fortunately they leave it on MNET most of the time. Very bizarre series. I have no idea what is going it it though as i think this is S2 or S3. They speak of cults and religions. There are even snipers and plague carriers. What fun........

Yay Frat boy has been kicked of the tribe. Go team. Captain America with a bottle of jack was getting old.

Had to do a mad rush back home this morning to go and let Telkom in to the flat so the techie could install the line. This would be pre-phase one (the phase that even Telkom forgot to tell me about) turns out the guy only got the works order this morning. Anyway as a result phase 1 was completed too. This getting of the modem. Now phase 2, the installation of the actual DSL line. Lets just hope that the guy without the appointment, who managed to get there, does not bode ill for the guy with the appointment. Modem is wifi too, yay !!!!

In other news went through to a LAN at Dave's house on saturday night. Played lots and lots of DotA, not convinced that it is the game for me. This could be more a result of the competitive "spirit" that was permeating the room. I will say no more...

Watched MI:3 on sunday. I enjoyed it, although it really is getting impossible and who came up with Impossible mission force. Just as well their agents can kick your arse into next tuesday.
Otherwise there would be much sniggering i thinks.
I am curious about shooting something up a nose into the brain,
yet not killing the shootee.

What is new in the life of me...

I have been struggling to find away to get a dvd player while leaving my existing one with my mom and on Sunday i solved my problem. Go PS2's they are much cool. Yet staying up till midnight playing Rachet & Clank may become a slight problem. So much for the dvd player =)

Other new things is that i have a domain registered and i did the registration all by my lonesome. Steve helped me out loads with the hosting and email addies. So now i have a a proper bonified email address all to myself, yet i will not post it here. Also feel free not to try find the website as there is nothing there at the moment. To be rectified by Xmas, of what year we are not sure.

Interesting week......................

Someone looked me up on skype and i have been chatting with them for the past week. Turns out they have no clue who i am and were just bored. Then again maybe it is someone i know and they are just messing with my fragile mind. Bastards !!!

Anyway they are nuts and now well blocked. On the flip side seeing as she/he/it could find me i thought i might start plugging in some names from school and got a hit. Someone i have not see or spoken to in like 5 years or something. The world is small after all.

Survivor update: I concur with the vote this time round. If that was trying her best then i hate to see what happens if she is not interested. Hey look at me i make a good impression of a wet fish (should have smacked her with a frozen fish)

RPG: Rooke is BACK wooohoooo and he kicks ass, yeah orge smackdown. Of course it was pointed out to me that if the giant had actually closed i would have been squishy like wood glue. What to write, what to write........................

Sometimes blogging feels a bit like a gigapet or something. If you don't update it then your consciuos starts going at you. 'Feed the blog, feed the blog'

My relocation got a little delayed on Saturday as I attended a funeral in the morning. Needless to say after that i was not really in the mood to relocate. However as it only took me half and hour i decided to get it out of the way. So i am no installed in my new shoebox with pencil case kitchen. It is quite an adjustment, first from having the run of W&J place to this and also i am not sure about living in someone's back garden. Strikes me as odd. The family is very nice and have offered all assistance above and beyond the call of duty. I guess they are used to having students (who happen to be friends of their daughter) living there and seem to have taken the same tack with me. We shall see how it goes, for the rent i am paying i am willing to give it a whirl for awhile.

Hit with aimed shot (probably get a crit) 4. Continue to wail on mob with arcane & concusive shots (With more crits probably) 5. Loot corpse. Wash, rinse and repeat. Of course the warlock might turn out to be the same. More with spell wailage though.

In sports news.
It is time once again to see the signature jump of Michael Schumacher on the podium. After taking pole position for the San Marino GP he succesfully converted it into a win. Is the the world No. 1 back.

In Survivor news.
Not really sure why they blatted magicians assistant as at least she can hold her own in the challenges. Not like nature boy who could not even get up a ladder. I know i am not there and have no clue how he is feeling at the moment, but still early game and you blat someone who is good in the challenges, where you can win food, so really who cares if they don't work at camp and anyway what does the nature boy do anyway.

Seems that we have had a very lucky easter weekend this time round. With about half of the road deaths as last year. Kudos, although the number is still too high in my opinion. 1 is too high.

However I am curious , such a big deal is made about the easter weekend (traditionally a bad one), but does anyone know how many people are killed on say the second weekend in September. I say concentrate on keeping safety at max all year round and Easter will follow suit.

I have been pretty much in hibernation these last few weeks, even though it is still autumn. Decided to get a head start. I have finished off S7 of Buffy and even ventured into the realm that is Angel (kicked puppy) and now i must get the other seasons.

Watched a few other DVD's too, finally got to watch Hero. Strange movie, but very pretty. I was not expecting the English though. Watched the Bourne & Mummy sets again and Dune (still a classic) "Father, Father the sleeper has awakened" great stuff. On Tuesday i decided to see if there was anything worth watching in TV again and lo and behold there is Survivor Guatemala or some desolate island/tropical jungle. So settled in to watch, after having had a good break from it by not watching the last two seasons. I only have one thing to say "Men are wimps"*

I am starting to get the shakes from lack of WoW though. It has been like 3 weeks since my last fix and it is starting to tell. Hopefully recharge cards will arrive soon and i can have something to talk about again.

In more real world news I should be relocating from the Human Jean Biosphere this weekend to my new shoebox in Rondies.....Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long time no post. I have just finished a extra long week of meetings with my client and boss from London. 3 hour meetings are just not cool and I think I am suffering PTS at the moment. I have like a ziggurat of work to get through now as a result and no energy to get through it. *sigh* Is this what it is all about. On the up side everyone seems very happy with the way things have been going and how the week went. =) And got to eat at Topsie Venter's place in Franschhoek, wow, very nice. SABoss got himself some Black pepper jelly which is most exquisite. Then I was forced I tell you forced to have one of the best Karoo lamb shank ever at the Blue Danube. It was difficult but I survived and the yesterday of course finished of with the best calamari in Cape Town at Miller's Thumb. Ya all are allowed to disagree with the last statement if you like, but till you take me somewhere better it stays =). I will try Pan Jack again someday just to be sure. Shouldn't really complain then hay............................even though three of the meetings where SNAFU's with no show consultants and me getting dates and times wrong.

On the lighter side. Start Buffy S7 soon having just finish S6 last night. Now we are into misery untold again. Reckon it starts right about "Seeing Red" and it is all downhill from there. Mmmmmmmmhhhh goodie Easter should be fun KFC, Butlers and Buffy or Angel if I have already finished Buffy. Fine I know I have and addictive streak, at least it is cheaper than heroine. Perhaps I should feed my other addiction for awhile and get Kitsune up a level or two or ten. Still got four to go before I tie with Bellus and I seem to have run out of quests at the moment.

Yet I have a shiny new cordless trackman wheel optical superduper three button fragalistic trackman to assist me in slayage (Oh god I did not just say that did I, someone please help me) Must join the gym soonest to do some else and semi social. Although swimming probably not big in team sport arena. Anyway must work do some I must otherwise I really will get fired. After speeding down to Computer Mania on long street this afternoon and grabbing a shiny new USB external harddrive case. I took a more leasurely stroll back up long street. Having not been down it lately, the festival didn't count cause we were quite high up.

What a great street......

Lots of new developement going on, but the oldies still there. Some with face lifts. We really do stay in a great part of the world. The vibe at lunch time is even cool. I mean where else in can you have a boutique hotel called Daddy long legs (the website has jumping sheep =)

Someone asked the other night what Herbies's number was or is (as they made a new and up to date one). For some reason 53 popped into my head a micron after the query was made. Turns out i was right. Yay!!!!!! Decided to store it here for reference.

Other arb' crap: PS3 delayed till november, thus giving Xbox a entire year to gobble up market share. Ballsy move....stupid but ballsy. It has something to do with their blue-ray technology and of course the ever present 'Though shalt not steal our stuff' copy right goodies. That was for the geeks amongst us and for the bean counters it means that sony has lost 1.8% on their share price. Lets just hope that there are no more gremlins, otherwise Xmas 2006 may be a disappointment for some.

I am unable to maintain any thought in my head for more than 5 seconds these days. I blame Warcraft or the fact that the sun filled days that become to me from the otherside of my window are just to good to resist. This is not helped in the slightest by all the backpackers and visitors to our city walking past merely on their way to do fun outdoor things.

My lodgings have been modified by about 10m to what is called the sun room I believe. I have always had a fascination of sleeping with more glass than brick around me. When staying in Disa towers leaving the curtains open was awesome, kinda feels like you are sleeping outside. The four legged furries have found out about me though. This makes me very popular in the mornings, pre snack time that is. The usual attitude of "now I have been fed leave me be" follows shortly there after.

Random stuff for the day: I had a conversation with somebody call Zhulan Ping the other day as my Skype account is open to the vastness that is the web. Apparently Ping has a mate called Jim and thought it might be me. China is good, I am told.

and......................... I hooted a Debora Patta this morning. My office is in a one way street and the number of people who go the wrong way is HUGE. I saw a car in front of me about to do this and hooted, then indicated in international motorbike sign language that it was a one way. Having a crash helmet on limits facial expression. Of course she ignored me as she was in fact pulling into the guest house next door. As it turns out when she got out of the car it was Debora herself. Awkward moment naturally, but we handled it well by pretending everything was invisible.

As i am prone to giving everyone else a hard time about updating their blogs i thought that perhaps i should do something about mine.

Not alot to report other than I AM HOME YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What i did think would be fun to just put out there is this. I went into the bank today (power failures seem to make the queues longer), anyway, this guys walks past me wearing a city bowl security golf shirt and the usual ensamble of combat boots and black cargo pants. Now i am pretty sure that if i tried hard enough i could get a black golf shirt that says city bowl security and some black cargo pants, I already have the combat boots, together. You may at this stage be wondering what the point of my rant is. Well the guys was armed, regular 9mm Barretta issue. Is it just me or is it a little odd to say you can't use cell phones in a bank, but you can come in with a fire arm and before you say "well maybe he was there on duty" he wasn't. Stood in the queue and deposited his cheque like the rest of us.

And in more news just to make you sick. Michael Schumacher has declared himself unemployed in his adopted country of Switzerland. Apparently they have a ban on motor racing for some reason and her cannot train or race there. This does of course afford him a almost 15% reduction in the TAX he has to pay on his villa in said country. Man it is just not fair. The man gets paid Â£45mil a year to do one of the coolest jobs on the face of the planet and still gets a tax reduction, plus gets to live in Switzerland. Anyone else thinks this sucks...........

Back to the Pros vs Cons. This one is a no brainer i fear. Product,merchandisee, loot or stuff whatever you want to call it. It is here and it is affordable and most of it is available online with no charge to get it right to your door.

Travel, again a no brainer. If you want to explore the world there is no other place to do it from.

Kinda skipped ahead a bit here =)

Broadband wins hands down here i fear. They are currently advertising 64Mb lines here at like
£ 25 a month and a few of those are unlimited access. Can you imagine 64Mb. At that speed you don't have to download the movies, you simply watch them online. So that is a big PRO. I am not going to harp on about Telkom, because well all know the evil that is them. Even the little guy in the mud hut southwest of Machu Pichu knows this.

The weekend end was fabulous. Went out with my sister, Pinkthulhu, Bumpycat and bigHair on Friday night for some farewell fun. Salvador & Amanda was very cool, great atmosphere if a little loud =) and the Sangria was muy bueno!!!!!. Off to slightly quieter spot for another round of drinks.

Saturday night was an evening in with me cooking. Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhh flee for your lives. All in all not tho bad though. The beef in the stirfry was too tough, but will work on the for the future. Baked mushrooms with cheese and nuts on top were a great hit though. Even if i do say so myself. They need refining though, maybe a hint of garlic next time or an olive or two.

Sunday was off to Windsor for Sundayay roast. Windsor is very nice even if it is a million miles away. A pox on Southwest trains though. Their bastard website failed to mention that due to engineering works on the lines there were no trains to Windsor. 1 Hour on a bus is icky i tell you. Of course we managed fine just would have been nice to know =(

Tonight i raid Virgin Megastore's £30 for 5 DVD sale yet again and a CD wallet cause it not all going to fit

A WoW update is that i am very impressed with the in game GM's. i have made my first report on dobehavioriour and their response seems to have been immediate and effective. We had a racist retard jump on the realm Saturday and he was gone shortly there after. Hopefully banned from all MMORPG for the rest of his natural life and should that be extended for some reason then beyond too. A pox on him too.

Trains VS. Traffic

Single digits......

On the first day of single digits.....................................................

May as well start with something everyone has to deal with everyday. Trains for me and traffic for some. This is more of a con vs con, but i though it must be noted anyway.

Train con: I don't dislike trains per say, but i can't stand rush hour, i am not and never want to be a sardine (they are small, smell and dress funny, also no fun at parties i here.) What i have also found very difficult to adjust to having to rely on the trains all the time. From having a car at my disposal 24/7 for many many years it has been rough not having one. Of course one has to mention that trains/tubes are often broken for various reasons. Leaves on the track, snow on the tracks, trespassers on the tracks, no trains on the tracks, other trains on the tracks. My sister had fun yesterday with trains not stopping at her station and the ones that did went straight past our station. Last but not least they stop running at for about 6 hours every night.*

Train pro: Trips on trains are fun. They have a kinda old worldy luxury feel to them (Not talking city tubes). You can read on the train. I have seen some people reading in traffic, but i don't think i this is wise. You can do work on trains, laptops, PDA's & blackberries etc. The train and tube network in London is extensive and with little difficulty you can get anywhere. You can go out and have a right lash up of an evening and you don't have to drive or have designated drivers to get you home. Watching people's facing who are running for trains they don't make is very entertaining in the mornings.*

Traffic con: Again rush hour sucks. You can have and accident, this is a lot worse than having you toe stood on in the train. For some of us on bikes (like me =) this can be a lot worse. No taxis on the trains, the occasional "please can you give me some money" but no taxis. Fumes and noise. Yet the diesel trains are pretty much the same here. petrol, here you buy a ticket once a month and your sorted mostly and you gotta maintain the vehicle and insure it. Heavy nights out become challenging if no one wants to drive.*

Traffic pro: One word FREEDOM. You can go anywhere, anytime as you like. Alone or with mates if you want and anyone in the car is there because you want them to be, not because they have to get to work too and the last space left on the train was the running strip by the door. This is the same running strip you are occupying. If you want to go to work at 4am you can. When you do this it is almost guaranteed you don't get to your car and find that it is late because some pillock was on the road a thousand miles away. Your car can't be late, although it can stall or not go if you did not adhere to one or to of the cons above. You can stay out till 2 in the morning and not have to get onto a scary night bus or wait for the first tube in the freezing cold. Although this can be fun sometime, not always. Bikes look cool, tubes don't =)*

Well, i seem to remember plugging something along these lines on one of my previous blogs. Only 10 days left in country and i am massively looking forward to coming home. I have thought just for fun i will draw up a list of pros and cons about coming home.

But before that happens and in other news. Went to go watch Underworld: Evolution on Friday last and i must say just this, meh!! Not all that impressed. It was almost a soap opera with werewolves and vamps. Some nice butt kicking action scenes and the like, but otherwise the first one in my opinion the first one was better. =) This one had more colour in it.

My guild in WoW seems to be hovering around 20 souls and holding which is good. We have some keepers though that seem happy with it. I need to get a move on which my warlock though as i am falling behind certain other characters (who will simply call Bellus for now) and low levels suck anyway.

Palm arrived last night and i must curse all electronics companies to the depths of something nasty. Why do we always have to charge the damn things for a gabillions hours when the packet is first opened. This sucks, new toys are to be played with and not sit charging forever. =(

I was soundly slagged off yesterday (no names mentioned) that i can't even maintain one blog properly and why have a i started up a new one. For the unaware out there i have started a guild on Warcraft and as a result i have started a blog for the guild. SO i decided to post something today. Of course i have no idea what to say, nothing much has actually happend recently to report on.

We had a good game of Feng Shui last night and with Pinkthulhu's rolling and mine it made for a interesting game. I think between the two of us we managed to open end on about 6 rolls. You may be saying to yourself what is this nutter talking about open ending is good, well yes on the positive dice it is.........

Tonight is the trains are on time and my luck holds i should just make the 19h10 show of Underworld: Evolution or maybe not and then home for some serious quest clearing and levelling in WoW. I am the damn guild leader and almost the lowest level. I keep runnning back to the low lvl areas to recruit new guys =)

I have come realise that even though there is huge amounts of crap on the internet it is still great to have 24/7 access. Cause i learnt that today is Mozarts birthday. Happy birthday !!

Got to play my new Ipod speakers last night. They are so cool that words fail me. With only four speakers about the size of a R2 coin they are capable of putting out better sound than the set of speakers we have that includes a subwoofer. Capable of running of mains or batteries with no difference in sound volume or quality and it charges the ipod when it is in the dock.

Weeeeell, it turns out that perhaps my blog was not deleted as previously thought or at least the account is still active. Hence the reason when i tried to register it again it was taken. I have moved some of the other blogs post for your viewing convenience

Blog has a new home and a new name in the spirit of 2006 and all.

The heating was off in the office for most of the morning and i think it has been my most productive day since they switched it on. I really dislike it!! By the time the afternoon rolls around i feel like going to sleep at my desk. Of course all the windows are closed too.

Thinking of heading out to watch Jarhead this weekend sometime. Critics are saying the it is a cinematic master piece, but the story is disjointed. Well shall see and report back.

Midweek report

I feel very sorry for new mums and dads here. The amount of mittens, booties that you see lying around is quite troubling. Always neatly placed where they can be found. Presumably by some concerned citizen in the vain hopes that people will come looking for them. Knowing Murphy and his devious ways it will always be the left or the right that gets lost. So you can't even get some trendy new look going by mixing it up a little.

Finally got to watch Narnia on friday last. Other than the some kiddieness of it and the annoying use of the blue screen (which seem to now be green anyway) in places that i thought was a little unnecessary i thought it a very good movie. Not having read the book made it all the more enjoyable as i had no idea what was going to happen. I see that the poster are up already for Da Vinci code. Xmen seems to be on the Horizon too.

My usual i am lame and play Warcraft too much update: Having finally dumped a whole bunch of green quest from my Druid i can now concentrate on getting him up a few levels. Although there is still a huge amount of trudging up and down darkshore that is getting a might tiresome. I am actually thinking of starting again on the path that is druid. Although it would seem such a waste to just dropped this one. I have made several mistakes along the way and of course this has cost time and money. Having put these thoughts out of my mind as they are to much to think about, i now have a gnome mage running around on a completely new server as both Turalyon and Khadgar are having ques at the moment. I also fast coming to the conclusion that druids where never intended to be played solo.

It appears that Christmas is officially over and it seems that people are very serious about the 6 January rule.

The pavements on my way to work are lined with the poor old Christmas trees that have served their purpose. Even the ones that have already been taken away have left a sad reminder of their time with us. Little leaves drop every so often up and down the pavements.

In other news tickets are booked for flight home (big grin), or should i say ticket as i will only be getting one.Going via Frankfurt, but not a very long stop over. I will most likely have to hall arse to get to my other plane on time. Marginally worried about my bags not making into the flight in time, but them hey who cares. I will have the important stuff on my person and i still get to go home. (another big grin)

It feels like the last day of school used to feel. Maybe that is because it is a more formal office than i am used to. Feels a bit like school anyway, only difference is i get paid here.

Read an article in the Metro this morning. I have been religiously avoiding it at the moment because other than one or two quirky stories the rest have all been about murder and violence and the 24 hour pub rule. Blah not happy morning reading. But today even though it is in a depressing article i read something that i thought was wrong "When Mansha's flat was raided police found a blank firing gun converted to shoot live rounds as well as DVDs containing anti western propoganda......" Does my grammar suck that badly or does it sound like the gun was converted to fire DVD's !!?

Last night was a great, Tootsies on the riverbank was a great venue (Many thanks to Pinkthulhu for organizing) and home of the Gourmet Burger which is i can say one of the best burgers i have ever had. Not to mention HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can barely pick the thing up =)

Last couple of days in the office YAY can't wait to get out of here for awhile.

Go long on Snow

I have about as much motivation to work as a drugged up marshmellow. I think coming back from SA and then one week of work was a silly idea to say the least. With nobody going to look at the revised drawings till January why bother.

Much looking forward to our Scotland Xmas trip. 2:7 chance of snow i am told. Still having trouble resolving how they work out there odds though. Apparently the bookies are playing it very safe on the gambling side of things, because to qualify for a white Christmas only a single snow flake needs to fall on the metrological centre in London and bang they have to pay out. I think it is sitting at 1:4 fo London. Whether or not this is the CHANCE of it snowing or the bookie ODDS is still to be contested. (Mainly by me =)

Gourmet burgers tonight, should be good.
